With its XXIII edition, the fundraising event “Festa di Primavera: un sorriso per Francesca ed Emiliano”, organized by S.A.Ne.S. Onlus – Research and Assistance Blood Cancer “Claudio Pacifi” and sponsored by Dolceamaro Srl, raised 6.087,50 €.
S.A.Ne.S. is a no-profit organization that works with the blood cancer department of the hospital San Camillo in Rome. It takes care of home help, shuttle service, medical and legal support and psychological counselling, all activities offered free of charge thanks to the fundraising campaign that has begun in 1996 with the event “Festa di Primavera: un sorriso per Francesca ed Emiliano”.
The event is born in memory of Francesca Magistri, deceased in 1995 at the age of 21 for a blood cancer. Since this year’s edition, the event also celebrates Emilio Piazza, Francesca’s coach and friend and the organizer of the first edition of the event.
This fundraising event is a day dedicated to volley, a sport that both Francesca and Emilio loved and coached.
This is not the only fundraising event organized by S.A.Ne.S. onlus: on June the 17tha 5-km marathon (RUN4SANES) took place in Villa Pamphilj in Rome.
